The absolute best fortune I ever got was in 1970 that said, "NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ IN A FORTUNE COOKIE." I still have it -- the fortune, not the cookie.

I've heard the practice of saying "While lying in bed.." before each fortune but my all time favorite read:"Someday you will step into a substance so horrible, you will have to throw away your shoes."It's a philosophy I've followed in all my little life experiences, someday you just got to walk away from it all and leave the worst behind.
