NFC Tailgating Recipes
You've checked out what AFC team fans are eating this tailgate season, now get a taste for what the NFC's die-hard fans have got cooking. We've again consulted self-described Commissioner of Tailgating, tailgating.com's John Cahn, to bring you the best recipes -- by team -- to eat this tailgating season. Truth be told, these recipes are dependable faves for any occasion.
Arizona Cardinals
A bit of chili cuts the Arizona heat, according to The Commissioner. We suggest a cooling side of red potato salad, washed down with a pitcher of lemonade. We won't tell if you spike it!
Atlanta Falcons
Falcons fans may be a little bummed that they lost their star quarterback, Michael Vick, for the season, but that won't stop them from cooking up a southern storm. The 'Tailgate Mafia' recommends HoCakes which are made with cornbread mix and lots of cheese. Keep your tailgate southern with some cheesy, easy-to-make grits and fried chicken.
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers may be one of the newest teams in the NFL, but that doesn't mean their fans are any less hard-core. While they once traveled all the way to Washington or Atlanta for tailgating festivities they can now hunker down close to home. Now that there's no rush of travel, The Commissioner recommends anything slow-cooked, like BBQ, including pulled pork and delicious hush puppies.
Chicago Bears
Those who hail from the Windy City have great faith in 'Da Bears,' not to mention big piles of bratwurst. Try the GrillMaster's Brats that take minutes on the grill. Another great recipe is the Boneless BBQ Pork Chop Sandwich. Wash it down with lots of beer!
Dallas Cowboys
According to Forbes Magazine, the Cowboys are the most valuable sports team in the world, so apparently EVERYTHING is truly bigger in Texas! Try these spicy Cow Patties for a kickstart and some Cowboy's Chili. Finish off this meat-lover's feast with a Deluxe Pecan Pie.
Detroit Lions
Cold temps in Detroit mean Lions fans have to keep things hot at their tailgates. Spice up your 'gate with Ford Field Fire Eggs, hard-boiled numbers soaked in a vinegar and hot peppers mixture. Keep things fiery with Chili-Rubbed Steak. For sensitive taste buds, try the Marinated Pineapple Pork Chops.
Green Bay Packers
Wisconsin may be home to a lot of 'Cheeseheads,' but Packers fans bring a whole lot more to the plate than dairy. Green Bay Kielbasa is a BBQ sandwich that takes little cooking skill and devotion and Chicken Booyah is a worthwhile labor of love. While your mouth is watering, satisfy impatient tailgaters with a quick bowl of Pretzel Dip.
Minnesota Vikings
Viking fans like to stay warm while tailgating so they recommend Not-So-Chilly-Chili and this interesting concoction of an Egg in a Bag! For those early mornings the Commissioner recommends breakfast burritos however we suggest this sausage casserole. Don't forget your mittens!
New Orleans Saints
Saints fans have had rough time recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but the team's back in action, and New Orleans fans are stepping up their tailgate game. The Commissioner himself recommends Joe's Jambalaya because "you can put just about anything in it. If it walks, crawls, swims or flies, it can be thrown into jambalaya." Another favorite is the Deer Roast, especially if you like to hunt. For the seafood lovers, Drago's Restaurant in New Orleans recommends Grilled Oysters with Butter.

It says lost for the season! Our star QB is Matt Ryan, hasn't been Vick since '06. No offense buddy, but YOU need to learn how to read. How did we lose him when he hasnt been our QB for 3 years?

How old is this article? Michael Vick still QB of the Falcons??? The article must have been written at least three years ago. Nice.
