The musician wanted a place "wherein everyone feels comfortable, regardless of whether they're vegetarian or vegan or carnivore or what have you." OK, so NYLA is no longer in existence, but it was for a very short while in 2002 fronted by Britney Spears. The NYC-meets-New Orleans joint was doomed from the start with reports of hygiene violations, food poisoning and even the stabbing of a customer. The pop star did not lend any money, and thus wasn't an actual owner, but in the music and restaurant biz, name and image equal money. Restaurant ownership may not be something Britney will consider hitting one more time in the future.
