Vintage Lunchboxes

Vintage Lunchboxes

A 1954 Superman lunchbox broke records when it sold for a whopping $11,500 in auction. Though most vintage boxes won't score a sliver of that price, many good-condition carriers still hold their weight in worth. Here's a countdown of classic lunchboxes' blue book value. Who knows? You might have some cold hard cash collecting dust in your attic!

I have a 1968 Yellow Submarine Beatles lunch box from my childhood. I was the original owner. I'm thinking of listing it on ebay. my email is my name / handle at aim (dot) com. But that is a classic lunch box because of the artwork

I had a Munsters lunchbox in about 66. The teachers got all the metal lunchboxes outlawed in the late 80's. They were afraid they might get hit with one. Funny, a good thick world history book would work as well and they give you that one. lol

I used to have a Pigs in Space metal kid's lunchbox that I took to work. It was a social statement back then(early 1980s)-they treated me like I was brain dead because they were men and I was female at a cop shop type business. They hated it because it complied with all the rules about lunch boxes (how anal is that?) but it let them know I thought they were the ones who were stupid(actually it was testosterone poisoning).
